To write this post, I wanted to think back to when I started working with my “Team” more directly, and what would I have liked to have known back then.
So let’s get started with the basics. What are Spirit Guides and what is this “Team” I speak of?
Each of us has an agenda and life plan we’re here to accomplish. However, it’s not easy work and often we easily find ways to distract ourselves from that process as we get caught up in the human experience. We’re here to enjoy ourselves, but most importantly we’re here to learn and accomplish those goals no matter how big or small they may be.
That is where our Team comes in. Our team works with our soul to stay on track; they comfort us when we’re in time of need and they work to help provide guide posts that nudge us along. They are eager to work with us closely and intimately. They understand the difficulties we face and through partnership they believe and have faith in us.
So let’s get started with some of the ways we can connect, or more so re-connect consciously to work more directly with our team:
1. Connect with your Self and continue to nurture a strong relationship with your soul: Our team is there to be the guides and coaches that nudge us along our soul’s path and plan. So it only makes sense that the reason why many of us feel we aren’t “connected” is because we learned long ago to not trust our own intuitive spiritual selves. We’re taught to not trust our emotions or anything that is not coming from logic, which only causes us to feel as if we are alone, when we are far from it. Our guides and Team communicate to us through our psychic senses and intuition. If we dampen those senses in any shape or form, it’s much like trying to listen to a song but we’ve turned the volume way down. We strain to hear the communication with bent antennas wondering why all we feel we get in return is static or silence, all because we have tuned into the radio station of our Ego versus our Soul - switch channels and straighten out those antennas! You have nothing to lose and have so much to gain.
2. Identify and use your psychic strengths: Psychic senses are rooted in our soul-selves. Much like our physical senses, they are the ways that our soul processes and interprets the world around it including the spiritual world. We all have the capabilities and gifts of the “Clairs”; however, we have varying degrees of experience and natural ability to utilize these senses. Work to identify which of these senses are your strengths and natural preferences like: Clair-audience (hearing), Clair-cognizance (knowing), Clair-sentinence, Clair-voyance, etc. There are many resources to help you identify your senses and strengths. Two books I recommend are Sonia Choquette’s “Ask your Guides” or Sherrie Dillard’s “Discover your Psychic Type”. Also, there are plenty of free resources out there on the web to help in these areas, just remember to use your discretion and discernment to help identify credible resources with the right intentions. I hope to have a future post to cover the topic more in depth, so stay tuned.
3. Crotch-punch that Ego: One of the biggest adversaries to our spiritual path and connection is the Ego… the false self. Part of the Ego’s job is to make us doubt and to try to throw us off course by distracting us from our path or by causing us to abandon our true authentic selves (our soul self). One of its tactics is to convince us that our true-self doesn’t exist, which in turn causes us to mistrust our experiences and intuition. It does this in many ways by rooting us in logical thinking, planting seeds of doubt, or enslaving us with limiting beliefs.
5. Raise your awareness of the Present moment: An extension of the tip to give yourself some time to connect – Is the tip to make sure you are “present”. Hold your head up, look at the world around you, breathe it in and notice everything with all of your senses. The more you stay in the present moment and remain aware, the more you are able to recognize when your team connects with you by sending you signs. Sometimes our guides throw a number of signs and breadcrumbs our way to help us along our path. Unfortunately, we’re often too busy and stuck in our heads to notice or recognize the communication. Keep in mind your psychic strengths you previously identified. Use that knowledge to identify the easiest way for you to communicate with your team and see the signs they send you.
6. Send out the Bat-Signal: When you establish the intention to connect with your team and reinforce it with action it’s like sending out a bat signal calling for their attention. Talk to your team and let them know your desire to connect and do it often. Trust and know that they are listening and know what is in your heart and mind. Let yourself be open to their response and make sure that you remove expectation. Like the iconic bat-signal, a shining beacon in the sky…flip that switch on and leave it on and walk away. You only need to check back to see that the light it still on by reinforcing your intentions.
7. Soak it up and Learn: The more you expand your knowledge about metaphysics and other spiritual topics, the more you reinforce your desire to connect. Read up on the subject of guides as much as you can as well as life plan information. I highly recommend reading up on subjects related to Reincarnation and life planning like “Many lives, Many Master” by Dr. Brian Weiss or Michael Newton’s books about Life Between Life experiences.
Sound off! What are some of the experiences you’ve had connecting with your team? I'd love to share some of your stories and experiences with readers.
Until next time, blessings in love and light!
